After prepositions such as à, en, sur, pour, avec, and compound prepositions with de (see following list), the rules are different. There you need look only at the gender of the antecedent rather than its function. When the antecedent is a thing, use preposition + lequel; when the antecedent is a person, use preposition + qui, or preposition + lequel.

The forms of lequel are lesquels (masculine plural), laquelle (feminine singular), and lesquelles (feminine plural).
